Fire All The GOP Leadership And Start Over

It started back during the 'Lame Duck" session of Congress post Nov 2010 DFL ass kicking. It continues to this day. The Senate GOP leadership under Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is incompetent and not up to the challenge. The Congressional GOP leadership under John Boehner (R-OH) is equally incompetent. McConnell gives us a treason filled START treaty with Russia during a "Lame Duck" session. The first time EVER an important treaty was enacted during the "Lame Duck." A treaty that gives Russian our missile defense technology and practically the ICBM launch codes. Boehner promises $100B in budget cuts, struggles to stand firm on like $35B, and in the end it looks like the actual cuts are much less. This in a $4T budget with a $1.5T shortfall. Not to mention abdicating their responsibility to some hack "Super Committee" to figure out the next "budget cuts," only that committee failed miserably. The GOP even offered to sell out Conservatives again via tax increases. Ugh! The situation in MN isn't much better. The GOP swept the state elections, but lost the Gov due to the entrenched hack RINOs who supported 3rd Party failure Horner. Instead, we get hack Liberal mental case Dayton (D-MN) who walks all over the GOP controlled legislature and gets a $3.5B budget increase! Ugh! The GOP won like 600+ state/fed elections in Nov 2010 and the party has been a HUGE failure expect for a few outliers cases. Gov Walker in WI, etc... Prez Obama has one foot in the political grave and the other on a banana peel and the GOP is busy digging their own political graves. Ugh! I'm done with the GOP. Until the state/fed budget is actually decreased year-over-year, you are DEAD to me. DEAD. The GOP doesn't exist to me...

The USA Debt Downgrade Should Trigger Automatic Recall Elections

I attempted to enjoy a three day weekend vacation, but was buzz killed on day one due to the Standard & Poor's credit downgrade of America from AAA to AA+. Ugh! First of all, the S&P should downgrade their own credibility. The S&P rated all the mortgage backed securities as AAA back in 2008 and how did that work out? Moody's stood firm at AAA though. At least for now. Second, didn't Treasury Secretary Tim Giethner, tax cheat jackass, state America would never be downgraded? Third, didn't we just pass a crap debt ceiling bill that provided minimal 10 year deficit reduction for trillions in "overnight" spending? Heck, the GOP caved at the zero hour and Senate Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) actually worked a few minutes to get the bill passed on the fictitious Aug 2nd deadline. Yet, American debt was downgraded anyway. I am beyond furious at ALL the incompetent boos in DC. The most galling issue though is the complete EMBARRASSMENT. The mightiest nation EVER has just been "scolded" by S&P, China, the EU, etc... Pathetic! I think that any debt downgrade of America should be followed by immediate recall elections of President Obama, the House, and the Senate. These damn do-nothings continue to take America beyond the point of "no return." 80% of the GOP should be replaced for allowing such a CRAP debt ceiling bill to even pass. Plus, for not IMMEDIATELY returning to DC, from their lazy ass recess, to pass a broad budget cutting bill. I'm not talking billions either. We need TRILLIONs in cuts or game over. 99.9% of the DFL should be replaced for not passing a budget in 825+ days, for raising spending from a few $100 billion in deficit to over $1 trillion, and for just being kook Liberals. 100% of President Obama's incompetent self should be hauled out of the White House and put under house arrent at Camp David until a new President is elected. All-in-all, we need an immediate recall election to replace these jackasses that failed their Constitutional duties. The GOP.... I hold the GOP to a higher standard because they are not Liberals. I expect Liberals to "lie, cheat, and steal." I expect the GOP to bring sanity back to DC, and it has been an EPIC FAIL under current leadership. I'm talking Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell must go. These guys are not serious. Paul Ryan is better. Ditto Bachmann, Demint, etc... I'm literally 90% done with the GOP. The GOP's next move will determine my support come 2012. Otherwise, it is all 3rd Party time. I don't care if it results in a few more DFL wins or President Obama 2.0. I will take a do-nothing divided government any day over ANY GOP candidate currently in office. GOP Revolt!

The Debt Ceiling Charade

I have mostly stayed away from commenting on the current debt ceiling circus via this forum. I have tweeted though. I find the entire debt ceiling debate to be CRAP. It is full of illusion, lies, etc... What was that one movie called? "Sex, Lies, and Videotape?" That is the debt ceiling debate, but sans the sex. Well, almost if you consider Rep Wu's (D-OR) sex scandal, but that is off topic... The GOP starts off with a bill containing $2.5 trillion in cuts for like a $2.5 trillion in debt ceiling increase (approximate numbers, so many were "thrown around"). That would span the gap until after the 2012 elections. There is also the balance budget amendment talk. Then the numbers change to like $1 trillion debt ceiling increase with $1 trillion in cuts. That would span the gap until spring and cause another showdown then. Not what the hack Democrats want when they are already bleeding voters due to their horrid economic policy. Otherwise known as "Obamanomics" or Socialism. The GOP did manage to pass a Cut, Cap, and Balance bill along with the $1T/$1T with Balance Budget Amendment bill, etc... Oh yeah, did I mention that during all this time the Democrats offered NOTHING. No bills, no budget (800+ days and counting), no ideas. The do-nothing Democrats and the regime ruler Obama did NOTHING, but demagogue the GOP's hard work. Ugh! Oh yeah, Senate Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) did get to work on a debt ceiling bill yesterday. No matter it is a day or two away from "default," but better late than never I guess.... Anywho... I effectively just wasted 15 minutes and 190 words on fantasy literature. Now back to reality... Firstly, there will be no default come August 2nd! That is an entirely made up date from the regime. Obama is in reelection mode and is desperate to get something done to defuse the issue. The US Treasury takes in far and enough revenue each month to cover the country's debt service, social security, defense paychecks, etc... The treasury will just have to decide which departments don't get funded. I would suggest DHS, HHS, EPA, Dept of Interior, Dept of Education, Dept of Energy, et al... Plus, lay off about 50% of the federal workforce. Done! The only way we default is if the treasury fails to pay bondholders. If so, that would be akin to treason! Secondly, this talk of #1T, $2T, etc, in cut is BOGUS! Due to baseline budgeting we are only talking about slowly the growth of government, not cutting anything. Let me explain. Assume the current budget is $100, but set to automatically increase to $110 next year. The debt ceiling cuts are touted as $50 over 10 years. Wow! Isn't that GREAT! $50 budget cut! Gee the GOP/DFL are getting America's fiscal house in order! The budget was never truly CUT! It still increased each year and adds to the debt . Duh! That is part of the current charade. Not to mention phantom war spending cuts. There was a figure out there that if the GOP stopped talking "cuts" and just froze the current bloated $1.5T deficit Obama/DFL budget, it would be scored as $9 TRILLION in "cuts" over 10 years. We would still be running $1 trillion or more in budget deficits, but it would be $9T in savings. That is the fraud of the debt ceiling debate. No matter what happens, we are not cutting anything. Oh yeah, and future Congresses can ignore the cuts. That is what happened to President Reagan. The promised cuts never happened. Lastly, the Balance Budget Amendment sounds great, but is also crap. Why? It is simply a way for politicians to "pawn" off their responsibility. Instead of having to choose what to cut/tax, they will use statute to do the work. There would surely be a provision in the bill to auto raise taxes, eliminate deductions, etc, plus many "precious" areas of government would be excluded from the charade. These incompetent boobs are sent to DC to WORK! Do your damn jobs! You don't need a BBA to balance the budget. Just adopt the 2008 budget and all the deficits disappear. Obama and the DFL raised spending HUGE and are effectively giving up a few % of the increases to appear fiscally responsibly when in reality they want these HUGE increase locked in forever. Call your reps and BITCH hard! We are being played for CHUMPS! GOP Revolt!

There was a time not so long ago in America when the top career hopes of children were: firefighter, policeman, fighter pilot, astronaut, soldier, nurse, etc... Well, thanks to the ruler of the current regime, Dictator Barack Obama, there is one less choice on the list. Today the NASA Space Shuttle program came to an end. More here. America is now dependent on Cold War loser Russia for a ride into space. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! This disgrace is just another notch in Obama's "destroy America" belt. Aside from wrecking the economy via over regulation, excessive taxes, MASSIVE spending, etc, what else must a ruler do to cement power? Eliminate heroes and true leaders. Sans heroic figures, leadership, peoples subjected to totalitarianism will eventually submit. I give you North Korea! There is no way Obama gets reelected. No way. The damage to the country, the diminished prestige and influence, the decline is just to bitter a pill for anyone but the most committed left-wing kook to stomach. We just need the GOP to grow some balls and go on the attack! GOP Revolt!

We Can Still Celibrate The 4th Of July Sans Functional Government

So... MN maintains its status as one of the most dysfunctional states in the union. MN elects a mentally ill left-wing kook known as former Senator Gov Mark Dayton (D-MN) who only received 44% of the vote and was ranked one of the WORSE Senators EVAH. MN obviously wanted some budget control since the GOP swept every state election, but Dayton and the DFL have been plotting their revenge. To force a gov shutdown, make sure it is painful, and blame the GOP. Not unlike what President Obama is trying to do. Project DFL failures on a GOP that was, until recently, a powerless minority. Thus, MN gov has shutdown. There have been all sorts of sob stories in the local rag Star Tribune about how the shutdown effects various government parasites. I recall one woman who testified that since loosing her mental health assistance, she has had "suicidal thoughts." My comment is, who cares! Why are we in the business of preventing suicide??? It is a free country. If someone wants to end their life... LET THEM! If you can't find a reason to live while a citizen of the best country EVER, go ahead of kill yourself. That will just be one less parasite to support. Where is this woman's family? The church? Why must taxpayers support this useless shell of a human? Ugh! There is a great article on the MN DFL strategy to use the shutdown to reclaim the state in 2012. It is likely true, but the DFL will fail. The GOP was put in power to reduce spending, but have not delivered. The GOP offered Dayton a $4 billion increase and that will not sit well with voters looking for real change. It is the 4th of July. One of the top greatest holidays of the year. People are thinking of the greatness that is team USA. People are thinking about how lucky they are to have great families and country. Now is the time to remember why we have a 4th of July. Because honorable men would not let stand tyranny. Honorable men would not allow themselves to be subservient to an Oligarchy of incompetent boobs. A.K.A... The DFL...

I no sooner get done ripping kook MN Gov Mark Dayton (D-MN), and Power Line provides yet another jewel of MN state Liberalism fully on display. It is sooo like the kook left. "Oh my goodness! The budget is only going up 3% instead of 5%. We cannot risk budget cuts in these hard economic times. We might need to cut the fire dept or police dept to the bone! Oh the humanity!" That is your whacked out Liberals at work. No matter the 3% INCREASE. Ditto the MN state budget. The last budget was like $32 billion and Dayton wanted $37 billion. Alas, the MN budget deficit was..wait for it...$5 billion. What?!?! Couldn't we just keep the old budget levels and not have any deficit? Duh! Now we have your friendly local Liberal parasite know as the MN university system screaming "murder" for their "dismal" budget woes. A 9% budget increase is "dismal?" Ugh! MN has many private universities that do not collect "welfare" payments. Sure, they are a bit more money in some cases, but it isn't our money being spent to educate some 18 year old incompetent in "Global Studies." Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

Gov Mark Dayton (D-MN), trust fund brat and Rockefeller in-law, is best known for his 2002 Senate run that had him spending $10 to $15 million of his own money to get elected. The financial hit was so traumatic, that Dayton attempted to go back on a campaign promise to work for $1 per year. I don't know what Dayton actual earned per year, but his political record is obvious. The man was a joke as Senator. Dayton was such a joke that he quit after just one term. Most mental cases would just head straight to the asylum and stake out a choice position by the nearest window, but not Dayton. Someone obviously got a grip on Dayton and reminded him that his home state of MN is best known for wacky Governors (Gov Jesse Ventura (I-MN)), Senators (Senator Al Franken (D-MN)), etc... Dayton's mental illness, deep pockets, plus left-wing kook views made him the ideal DFL Governor nominee. Now, Dayton only won with 44% of the vote with margin of around 9,000 votes. The only reason he won was a spoiler candidate in Independent Tom Horner who took 14%. The rest of MN went red BIG. The first time EVER the Reps/Senate went GOP majority. Plus various other important local/state officials went GOP. Given this "red tide" across MN, a normal person would realize they are starting the job in the minority. A minority of voters and fellow politicians. Not Dayton though! With the help of his "meds" the guy is pushing forward with a new 10.95% tax bracket, billions more in spending for education in a state where it already costs $10,000 to $15,000 per year per K-12 student. Ugh! A state in the top five or so of highest taxed states. Dayton has already vetoed one budget that raised spending to the highest level EVER without raising taxes. Ugh! Now all the local Liberal rag news talks about is which victims will be hardest hit by a government shutdown. Look out grandmas! Ugh! Dayton had promised not to shutdown government, but when you are a basket case, past words are no indication of future reality. Power Line blog has a great article on the insanity of Dayton's Governorship. The state was sooo close to booting the wacked out DFL from office, only to end up with the worse possible squatter in Dayton. Oh what could have been had Tom Emmer (R-MN) won! Perhaps we could have actually DECREASED a budget. Sigh...

A lot has changed in the world since 1945. There was the Korean War, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Gulf War I, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, et al... The Cold War started and ended. America has gone from amassing support from virtually all other countries (Gulf War I), to minimal support from a few countries (Gulf War II). Did you know that American has bank rolled the Japanese military since the end of WWII? Did you know that the reason Europe can afford Universal Health Care is because American pays for their defense? Then there is the United Nations. An insignificant body of hack dictators and human rights violators that always seem to accuse America of that very thing. Oh yeah, and the UN enjoys the benefits of being located in NYC with over $3 billion in American funding. Ugh! Mark Steyn has a brilliant article that covers some of this very well. In these times of massive deficits, we need to look long and hard at our allies and defense spending. I would start by pulling out of Europe and requiring Japan to spend more on defense. It drives me completely CRAZY that we spend BILLIONS on ungrateful nations while out southern border with Mexico is in chaos. Ugh!

The left-wing kook media didn't sweat a single drop reviewing President Obama's past during the 2008 Presidential election, but sent a dozen journalists/lawyers to AK the second after Palin was announced as the GOP VP nominee to dumpster dive, interview anyone that might say bad things, etc... At what point does the 1st Amendment stop applying to these lying clowns? Surely the founding fathers intended for opinion to be protected, but not outright lies? Ugh! I just cannot believe the number of people that think Gov Sarah Palin is: dumb, stupid, dimwit, etc... I further find their reasoning all the more ridiculous. The reason? Palin "misspoke" during the answer to a reporter's question, etc... Have any of you heard of former Senator, current VP Joe Biden (D-RI)? The man is a walking gaffe machine! Before Biden was "hidden" from public view, the guy had several choice quotes each day. Surely a consistent daily dose of multiple gaffes denotes possible diminished mental capacity? The truth is that ALL politicians misspeak at one point or another. Some more than others. When you are bombarded with numerous wide ranging questions, there are bound to be mistakes. Now on to the 2012 Presidency. Palin hasn't even decided to run yet, and the "she is dumb" brigades are out in force. The last I checked, the Constitution stated two requirements for Presidential eligibility: natural born citizen and at least 35 years of age. No where is there an IQ requirement. Or a health records requirement. Or a service records requirement. Or a tax forms requirement. Just two simple requirements. This doesn't mean voters can't apply their own personal requirements. They better, because elections are about ISSUES. Palin is not dumb. Palin is a woman of principled ideas. You may not agree with them, but she has IDEAS. Now, if Palin's idea to lower the national debt was to hold a bake sale on the front lawn of the White House...well... That might cause most people to question her smarts, but it would be far far far more productive than anything the Democrats have proposed. Oh yeah, that is right... The Democrats have ZERO ideas to keep the USA from collapsing under the national debt. Hmmm, now isn't that truly DUMB?

President Obama is on a roll lately... Fresh off his singularly devised, planned, and executed assassination of Bin Laden, Obama is set to reap the rewards of the lucrative lecture circuit. Obama has just penned a deal that will have him talking about winning the War on Terrorism at such prestigious institutions as the US Army War College, West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Virginia Military Institute, Pentagon, etc... Obama will share his ingenious ideas and insight from the perspective of Terrorists and US military/intelligence assets to give a unique perspective on why the War on Terrorism has gotten better on his watch. Obama is sure to reap many millions of dollars once his first term, and only term, in office has completed come Jan 2013. Obama has always had someone around to help prop him up in times of incompetence. After leaving behind a path of destruction and scorched Earth in just two shorts years of his Presidency, Obama has finally found that one signature issue that will keep him safely above former President Jimmy Carter. Ok, seriously folks... Do you really find this all that ridiculous? There are many many many people out there who are DEDICATED to propping up Obama. The media being the first line of "defense." Obama will get his "rehabilitation" tour shortly after leaving office in Jan 2013. There will be books, lectures, etc... The keynote issue? Terrorism. Yes, very laughable given Obama has previously shunned EVERY tool to fight Terrorism, but assassinating Bin Laden will be the only glimmer of hope in Obama's continued nondescript and incompetent career. There will even be other books on the subject, but Obama's will get out first due to his name recognition. Sigh... First we had to watch a disgraced President Bill Clinton get rehabbed post-White House, and now there will be Obama. Why can't these failed DFL Presidents just go hide in a hole? Ugh!

President Obama Is A Ruler, Not Leader

The President of the United States (POTUS) is often, and rightly, called the "Leader of the Free World." However, what if you have a man that derives his ideology 50% from 'White Guilt" and 50% from a Marxist, Socialist, Communist father? You get President Barack Obama the RULER. Not anything close to leader. Obama is a petty petty petty man that is PURELY politically and ideologically driven. Obama sandbags on tough decisions, waiting weeks to order more troops to Afghanistan, waiting weeks to help BP in gulf, 16 hours to approve Bin Laden mission, just sits on the fence, etc... Then Obama sits back and waits for the results of his wishy-washy ways. Things turned out great? Obama swoops in and takes all the credit. "I, me, myself, I, I, I, me, me, me." The Liberal media providing cover. Things turned out bad? Obama deflects criticism to President Bush or some other political lackey. It can never be Obama's fault you see. Obama isn't our leader, Obama is our ruler. We are to submit to his radical leftist ways. I think the most ironic element of the Bin Laden raid was that Obama had to rely on EVERY policy Bush put in place that Obama despised. Michael Barone has a good summary of this here. The ultimate though, is watching Obama decide to not release raid photos for fear of emboldening our enemies. Ha to the infinity! What about this crap? What about this anti-American treason? Obama is a damn coward. Obama isn't fit to be the ruler of the men he feebly "commands" into battle, and then steals credit and valor from. Shame!

The Death Of Osama Bin Laden (Updated)

The world woke up to some great news this morning... The death of Osama Bin Laden. The mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks in NYC. The leader of Al Qaeda, etc... It took near ten years, but this terrorist is dead. There have been 100's of stories on this great event, so no point in linking any particular article. Instead, I would like to bring some context to this event. There has been terrorism for a very long time. You have the hostage crisis and failed rescue missing under President Carter. The bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon under President Reagan. Multiple terror attacks, left ignored and unanswered, under President Clinton, etc... Then there is the "big one." The WTC attacks of 9/11. President Bush did the right thing by invading Afghanistan and defeating the Taliban. President Bush did the right thing by invading Iraq and defeating Saddam Hussein. President Obama reluctantly, but ultimately did the right thing by continuing most of the Bush terror policies. I want to make something clear here though. It wasn't an American President that captured Saddam or killed Bin Laden. It was an American soldier with help from various support elements: CIA, etc... These are the people who are winning the War on Terror each day. Not politicians. No matter how much the media trumpets Bin Laden's death via Obama's decision to take action, it will not make Obama the "trigger" man, no more than Bush was the "bounty hunter" that bagged Saddam. The Liberal euphoria will fade, and the economy will come back to the forefront. You see, the American soldier is winning the War on Terror, not politicians. Politicians can only loose wars, they cannot win them. So then, are we winning this war? Certainly the war is not over. Bin Laden is just another milestone, albeit HUGE milestone, in this ten year war. I personally think it is a mixed bag. Why? For one, Iraq is a basket case. My belief in the Iraq war faded upon hearing the Iraqi army wasn't ready for duty. What?!?! The US military takes 18 year old, 90 lbs, weaklings, and makes them lean mean fighting machines in 8-12 weeks. How can Iraq not have a capable army after several years of training? The answer is obvious. The American soldier goes into the military with a build in sense of nationalism, patriotism, etc... That is not Iraq. Iraq is tribal. Iraq is family and tribe first. Not country first. You have hug corruption and no sense of loyalty. A lot of the Iraq soldiers were just there to gather intel for terrorists or collect generous paychecks. Then there is Afghanistan. The Taliban regrouped in Pakistan and are now a problem again. Mainly because of Pakistan. An "ally" that receives $3 billion in military aid, but works against us behind the scenes. We must immediately cut off aid to Pakistan. Pakistan was hiding Bin Laden by a military base within town. So much for the "mountain cave" theory of Bin Laden existence. Ugh! What do we do next? I think the USA needs to implement more "tough love." Let our "allies" know we will do whatever it takes to better stabilize Iraq and Afghanistan. If we cannot get local help? Tough call. There have been 1,000's of American soldiers and civilians killed. There have been 10,000's of soldiers severely injured. Bodies broken for life. Families broken for life. There has been $1.5 trillion spent on this war. Obama is correct that Bin Laden's death was a win, but it is far from victory. Perhaps moral victory to those who lived through 9/11. I would hardly call the price we have paid so far against our results victory. Heck, the results we have had could have been gained in a few years if politics, political correctness, and Liberals, didn't stand in the way. Congrats on your continued perseverance American soldiers. Congrats!

Update 05/03/2011: A couple more points... The narrative is that Obama passed on bombing Bin Laden's $1 million compound back in March or so for fear of civilian casualties. The narrative being, Obama made a "gutsy" call by ordering in the SEALs. Obama wanted "proof" of Bin Laden's capture or death. I have a few takes on this. First, have you seen aerial shots of Bin Laden's hideout? It is out in the open away from most other structures. B-2 bombers could surely drop some JDAMs less than 2,000 lbs (perhaps 500-1,000 lbs) and destroy the building with minimal collateral damage. The occupants would all be dead, our followup response would have to state that "high value" targets were inside. Bin Laden likely dead. Sure, there would be doubt as to Bin Laden's death because the body would be vapor. Plus, we might not be able to pull off another Pakistan operation without informing Pakistan. However, the mission would be low risk to US military assets with low "payout" for Obama. Then there is the "gutsy" call. I gotta laugh. How is ordering SEALs to perform the mission "gutsy?" Well, of course the meaning is politically "gutsy." The mission would be high risk, but also high reward. If it goes right, Obama gets to claim responsibility for Bin Laden's capture or death. 2012 Campaign saved! If it goes wrong... Well, who knows. Perhaps there would be a "fall guy" to shield Obama. Obama's complete destruction of the US economy, horrid energy policy, high unemployment, big $1.5 trillion budget deficits, bigger national debt, and nonexistent foreign policy have propelled Obama to the top. The old peanut farmer from GA isn't going to put up with it any longer! Carter has started his comeback to overtake the number one worse President ever. Carter figures he still has the crazy 20% interest rates, 444 day hostage crisis, oil embargo, etc, to trump Obama's core failures. Now Carter just needs that one gem to retake the lead. Answer? Hey, let's go to North Korea and blast America's human rights abuses against a poor Communist dictatorship. Ugh! Is Carter kidding? North Korea is a country that has been starving its own people for decades under Kim Jong-il. The peasants boil the bark of trees to make soup for goodness sakes. President Obama would have you believe that he grew up poor, was on food stamps, and struggled as a youth, but that is a LIE. Obama's mother came from a family of corporate executives. VP of bank, VP at oil company, etc... Obama attended private school in Hawaii, etc... The only poverty in Obama's life is his brother whom still lives in a hut, and his aunt who is a ward of the state out east. Obama grew up in a life of privilege, attended Ivy League schools, etc... This brings us to Obama's belief system. You have Obama's father who preached anti-Americanism and anti-colonialism, anti-capitalism, Socialism, Marxism, etc... Obama's preacher, Rev Jeremiah Wright, who spewed the same drivel to a receptive Obama for 20+ years. Now, under normal circumstances, these facts alone would explain why Obama is so anti-American, far far left, etc... However, to truly understand the extent of Obama's radical nature, you need to read Shelby Steele's book White Guilt. Obama is half white. The white half being the previously mentioned corporate executives and mom. Thus, mix the status quo far left "America is still racist" crap as pushed by the Rev Jesse Jackson and Rev Al Sharpton, with Obama's "white privileged" side, and you get the perfect storm of absolute, "chip on the shoulder," far far far left radical, anti-Americanism, kook Liberalism that IS Barack Obama. I am NOT a racist. I despise Obama's belief system and policies because they are leaving behind "scorched Earth" across this great nation. I would enthusiastically support Herman Cain, Walter E Williams, Justice Clarence Thomas, etc, ANY DAY, for President of the United States. In fact, these three men would easily be in the top five to seven candidates for the GOP nomination. So there you have it. There has been so much talk about the gas tax, gas prices, milage tax, high speed rail, etc, it became time to start a new category. Thus, consider this the inaugural blog post! The inspiration for this posting came via the local Liberal kook "rag" known as the Star Tribune. The first element has to do with a news article on a 2007 funded project to test the feasibility of a milage tax. The idea being that instead of a gas tax, you would have a GPS unit installed in your car, and your tax would be based on miles driven, etc... Of course, the idea of having your car tracked brings up all sorts of privacy concerns, gives government the ability to tax roads at different rates, times of day, etc... Essentially nanny state to the nth degree! The second, and most important element, for this posting came via a reader comment in the Liberal "rag" Star Tribune. The author was against the mileage tax due to its "unfair" nature. Apparently, this reader had been sucked in by the hoax known as "Global Warming" and bought a hybrid. I'm not sure if it was a Smart Car or Prius, but this person owned one that got 50-ish MPG or more. I completely agree with this person that if the gas tax isn't covering our road expenses, the gas tax should just be raised. That would mean this person would pay less in gas taxes for their 50 MPG car compared to my 29 MPG car. Simple enough. However, being a likely Liberal, this person completely misses the whole point and false premise. The gas tax doesn't pay for roads and bridges. The gas tax pays for roads, bridges, bike paths, light rail, car pool lanes, various non-road boondoggles, etc... We don't have a gas tax "revenue" issue, we have a resource allocation issue. It costs like $1-$2 million per road mile. If a state spends $1 billion on a light rail project, how many miles of road were "lost?" The answer is 100's of miles. My math might be off, but the point is fact. The gas tax is a fair tax. Why? It is a use fee. Why can't we have a use fee on bike paths? Heck, I paid $10-$20 per year to ride my Huffy back in the 80's. Why can't we charge a bike path fee? Light Rail does charge a fee to ride, but it is never enough to cover expenses, thus, millions in subsidies are required to keep the rail line going. If the rail gets going. Ugh! So, I agree that raising the gas tax would be more "fair," but I disagree with the premise. That we are short tax dollars for roads. I want to bring up one other point. Politicians would rather have a mileage tax than a gas tax! Why? With gas prices so high due to deliberate Liberal energy "rationing," even the most hardcore kook Liberal politicians are scared to raise gas taxes. You see, people feel the effects of a gas tax immediately. Instead of paying $4 per gallon, you are paying $4.25, $4.50, etc... The mileage tax gives them the ability to do a few different things. First, it "hides" any tax increase because you don't pay the tax each time you fill up with gas. You don't pay until month end, year end, etc... The ideal for politicians would be to have the gas tax tie into your yearly tax return. Why? Well, the 47% of tax filers that pay no net income tax will not notice the mileage tax deduction. They will likely still get that refund, or there will be some mileage tax exemption amount (e.g. first $50 of tax, first 5,000 miles free, etc...). One point politicians, no points gas tax outrage. Second, higher income earners will have to write the State/Feds a bigger check for taxes due. One point wealth redistribution, no points fairness. So, the mileage tax isn't a bad idea because it is "unfair." It is a bad idea because it will greatly increase the government bureaucracy and nanny state, plus it will decrease the transparency of what taxes we pay, and what happens with them. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

Takers Now Exceed Givers, Tipping Point Reached

This article is hardly surprising. When you have Democrats spending the money of the next two future generations on crap like food stamps, 99 weeks of unemployment, State aid to shore up union jobs, boondoggle one-time projects like pot hole filling, rail, tax credits for crap cars, energy credits, etc... When you suck as much money out of the economy and redistribute it to the tune of $1.5 trillion deficits, you get the canary in the coal mine... The American fiscal house is on a foundation made up of a few "givers," supporting a home that is WAY over occupied by "takers." Personally, I believe that if you are on unemployment, you should be require to work part-time picking up trash, sorting clothes at the Salvation Army, etc... You shouldn't be allowed to sit on your ass. I've been unemployed. You search for jobs, send out some resumes, hit the pavement, interview, and then repeat the process. There is spare time. Looking for a job is not a full-time gig. It is definitely part-time. Especially, if you are a low skilled minion. If you are on welfare, food stamps, etc, there should be limits and lifetime "benefit" maximums. No revolving doors! Our forefathers built this country without medicaid, OSHA, EOE, unemployment/health/disability insurance, social security, food stamps, WIC, et al... My grandparents were too proud to accept "handouts" when times were tough. They just made due with less. It completely sickens me whenever I overhear a couple "takers" discussing their sloth lives. None of you are worthy of your citizenship. One or more of these sloth losers should be required to clean my home, pick up my dry cleaning, run my errands, etc... Get me my tax dollar worth... Ugh!

The Liberal kook media formed a bogus narrative that President Obama was a great thinker/leader, and pushed it upon us constantly during the 2008 Presidential election, and still to this day. However, what has been the reality? President Obama talks in broad platitudes, lets others do the "heavy lifting," and then decides if/when to grasp the issue for the sake of credit, or punt it for the sake of politics. President Obama is that office co-worker who is glad to help you out when the boss is looking, but abandons you the minute the boss leaves the room. Obama is sure to make a status meeting touting great success, or conveniently miss a meeting to discuss struggles. Obama is a lazy lazy lazy man who has likely never had to really work for anything on his resume. How in the heck can a guy be the Editor of the Harvard Law Review yet not write a single article? It is desperate times indeed for team Obama. Fortunately, there is the Gov Scott Walker (R-WI) Leadership Course at the University of WI - Madison. This course teaches inexperienced executives how to set goals and deliver on those goals. Even in the face of adversity. Walker gives each student intensive one-on-one coaching sessions on how to rein in thug unions, bloated budgets, and absentee management. Lets face it folks... Obamaville is a big BUST. Obama hasn't delivered on anything, except massive entitlement spending. A new age of poverty. Obama is in desperate need of executive coaching NOW if he is to have any shot of winning election next year. Well, Obama has ZERO shot of winning reelection. Unless the GOP nominate McCain 2.0? The Best Part-Time Job Around, If You Can Buy It

The Democrats are always quick to deride jobs created by the GOP as "burger flipping" jobs that are part-time and don't provide health care, etc... When unemployment was 5% under President Bush, that was the Democrat comeback. That the jobs created weren't "good" jobs. Never mind that the recent announcement of 50,000 new hires by McDonald's was cheered by these same kook Democrats. Aren't those "burger flipping" jobs? Regardless, there is one part-time gig that both political parties can agree is very lucrative. A gig that provides health care, etc... That is the part-time gig know as a US Legislator via Congress or the Senate. These are individuals that make $175,000 to $200,000 per year with FULL benefits, spending accounts, etc, but only work part-time. I seem to remember that the Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) House was only in session 90 or 100 days? There are 260 weekdays, take away 10 for holidays, and you have 250 working days. Assume that Congress "overachieves" and works half those days. What is their true salary? Why yes Mr/Mrs reader... It is 2x the above numbers, or $350,000 to $400,000 per year! Sure, these members of Congress would argue that they are back in their home districts "working." They are on the campaign trail, etc... How often do they really have townhall meetings with constituents? How often are they truly at their home district offices meeting people? The truth is not very often. Given even a few more days for these activities, you have a bunch of political hacks that barely make a 30 hr average workweek. 30 hours being the threshold for full-time work and benefits for us civilians. It was a scant few weeks ago that Congress passed a CR, the government was in danger of running out of money, and the Senate recessed for a week. What?!?! If the CR is so important, why is the Senate recessed? We have just witnessed the Congress and Senate pass a budget bill. The debt ceiling is currently the hot topic. You would think such "grave" issues could muster a full work schedule? Nope! Congress and Senate are in...RECESS...for two weeks. When was the last time you got two weeks off for Easter? A Christian holiday most Liberals DESPISE. The answer is NEVER. I think most people are lucky to get Good Friday off. The point here is that you have overpaid, lazy, do nothing politicians, telling us that TARP, Stimulus, Debt Ceiling, CR, etc, are VERY important for the well being of the country, and then they leave DC, or debate the North to South Flowing Rivers Act instead. The Congress and Senate should be in recess until the debt ceiling and budget deficit are solved COMPLETELY. Unfortunately, these two issues will likely be all that really "gets done" this year. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

Lamer Duck Session 2.0

I wrote here back during the Lame Duck session of the incompetent 111th Congress about how the GOP Senate had 41 votes, could block ANYTHING they wanted, just had to hold the ranks... It looked like the GOP Senate would hold rank. There would be no votes until the President Bush tax cuts were handled. Bravo! Then it happened... President Obama looked to cut a deal, the Senate GOP jumped on it, and we were left with HORRIBLE spending on ethanol subsidies, electric cars, a stupid Social Security tax drop to 4.2%, etc... Effectively, the GOP gave The Democrats and their RINO hacks loads of pork barrel spending to get the tax cuts extended. Ugh! Wait, there is more... Now resident hack RINOs Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Scott Brown (R-MA), etc, were free to do whatever they wanted...and boy did they... A HORRIBLE treaty with Russia (START), that gave away our National Defense was PASSED after teetering on the brink of life support. What?!?! Russia now has a say in our missile defense and the technology. Ugh! Senator Mitch McConnell completely DESTROYED the great feeling of winning the Nov 2010 elections in just a couple weeks via the "most productive" Lame Duck session ever. Heck, President Bush and the GOP didn't attempt to pass ANYTHING in their Lame Duck, yet the Senate GOP allowed the Democrats to do everything... Ugh! No fast forward a measly four months and the House GOP has just done the same thing. No matter the HUGE crushing defeat of Democrats back in Nov 2010, the GOP House cut a deal on the current year budget for $38 billion in cuts after promising $100 billion. Never mind that the 11th Congress under Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) didn't pass a budget. The GOP cut another deal with Obama. No government shutdown, etc... Outcome? Lame Duck session 2.0. The $38 billion deal turn out to be CRAP. The deal only reduces our $1.5 trillion deficit by $350 million. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! What the hell is this garbage? The GOP gained 60+ House seats, and nearly 700 State House seats back in Nov 2010. The country is BEGGING for fiscal sanity and the GOP is calling 3x weekly psychiatrists visits, bipolar disorder, and a mouthful of Prozac a sane "person." Ugh! There is also news that the GOP will raise the debt ceiling without a fight??? What the F! The GOP needs new leadership! I called for Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to be replaced, and now it is nearly time for Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) to go. The debt limit is it! If the GOP doesn't score actual deficit reductions via a debt limit increased, the fight is over. Say goodbye to the largest mountain of political capital EVER presented to a party. Thrown away for a few hundred million dollars and "goodwill." Sigh...
